The Children Are Our Future

Parents and educational institutions are fighting for our children's future more than ever. Television and now video game consoles are playing a continuously larger role in the lives of youth.

Today children and teenagers aged 8 to 18 spend an average of four hours in front of a TV screen and an additional two in front of a computer screen playing video games (kidshealth.org). Using electronics to pass the time and as the only form of entertainment is becoming a global pandemic. No one is saying that watching TV or being on the computer is bad however there are statistics that ought to give warning to parents. For example, students who spend more than four hours a day on TV are more likely to be overweight and those who watch violent acts on the screen are much more likely to emulate that behavior. In addition to all this, children become prey to vicious forms of advertisement where experts say children lack the ability to critically analyze the ad they are watching and therefore buy the ad scheme that is being sold (umext.maine.edu). Finally, TV has the ability to distort reality and this is most present in violent shows. A UCLA report showed that perpetrators of violent acts go unpunished 73 percent of the time and that 58 percent of victims depict no pain when attacked (turnoffyourtv.com)!

This fight for our children does not have to be lost. It is easily possible to provide our children with fun and entertainment while teaching them valuable skills at the same time.

For example, there is Sudoku for children. Trying to solve 1-9 numbers on the adult version may be too trying but there is also one for youth where it is only numbers 1-4. Sudoku has been known to sharpen children's reasoning and computation skills. Most importantly, it helps children identify patterns which are one of the most important aspects in mathematics(math-and-reading-help-for-kids.org).

Less mathematical but just as educational are brain teaser puzzlers. These puzzles help children understand the concept of analytical thinking, logic, and of course perseverance. Unless your child is a genius, he or she most likely won't solve the puzzle on the first go. That will make them have to constantly evaluate what moves they have already done and try to think what path they should take next. A great example of this is the "Star Puzzle". This is an incredible popular puzzle where the player has to fit together six interlocking pieces to form a star.

In conclusion, we cannot nor should we cut out television and video games all together. However, it is crucial that we allow our youth to have entertainment that enriches their skills and expands their minds. These are the ages where their minds will be the most affected and influenced. So instead of sitting alone watching television, lets get them playing educational brain teaser games together with their friends and family!

Math and English Educational Kids Games To Get Them Ahead When Starting at School

It is your little ones first step into the Big world of school, and for many children this can be an anxious time.

This can also be a very hard time for some parents to, the first time that you let your little child out in to the big world, but there is no need for you to worry, they are going to school, they will have fun learning and meet new friends. Don't let your child feel you anxiety, as this could unsettle them.

As a parent you have the important role in helping your child learn, it is important to have fun as they learn about new subjects, you will also need to help and answer the many questions your child will ask you about each subject.

The most important thing that you can do is taking an interest in what your child is learning at school; praise them when they have done well and give them the tools to learn more.

All children that go to school, are taught by targets that should be reached, this is usually done by age group such as 5-7 years old, 8-11 years old and so on. But each child is different and will learn things at different speed so don't be pushy and let them grow at their own pace.

If you play educational kids games that are interesting to them, they will want to play and learn at the same time.

Playing learning to read games that are enjoyable as well as educational, can Make English Fun!

Rhyming Games and Word Games will help them learn new words and they can use their fantastic imagination to create rhyming poems.

We can then help build on this again by letting your child make up their own stories, and putting on a show using Learning Puppets or a Picture Book, this will help strengthen their confidence, and let us listen to the way they speak, to make sure that they talk clearly.

Some children find it difficult to sit and listening to a story or a teacher's instruction. By playing listening games, children learn to be quiet and still to hear what the sound is, Cock-a-Doodle-Moo, is great fun for kids and learning games like Listening Lotto really grab their attention.

Reading is a wonderful skill, which lets children's imagination run wild.

Learning to read begins with you reading to your child as a baby. With time your child understands that the content of a book never changes.

Later on, after much sharing of books, children begin to play read and turn the pages of a favourite story while chanting parts of it aloud.

There are two ways are children are usually taught to read, either by Look and Say or by using Phonics

A Word Building Game and learning what new words mean will help grow your child's mind. Using Rhyming Words Games is also great fun.

If your child has had the opportunity to use paint, crayons or small construction toys this would all help their fine motor skill, and consequently their writing skill.

Teach your child to hold a pencil correctly and guide them over letters of their name or through workbooks suitable for their age group, if they need you to, place your hand gently on top of theirs

Once your child knows how to trace letters shapes with your help, see if they can use their looking skills to make letter shapes by drawing over faint dots you've made. From this stage of copying over, comes a stage of copying beneath.

Early writing will not necessarily be the correct way up or stay in a horizontal line. But do try and help your child correct this, so that it's not an on going problem.

If you love numbers yourself your child will mimic that love, so make any encounter you have with numbers a fun activity for yourself and you will soon transmit this feeling to your child.

Counting doesn't have to be boring for your child, remember to make learning fun.

There are all sorts of ways to help your child remember how to pronounce numbers and how to put them in the right order.

Some simple activities and Math games for kids that you and your child could do could be; Counting Out Loose Change, Singing Counting Songs or Counting How Many Times They Can Skip a Rope.

Keep an eye out for chances for your child to count out loud, it's all great practice, and a good time for you to check that they pronounce the numbers correctly, particularly the numbers 11 to 19 as many children find these numbers difficult.

By the age of 7 years old most children are able to; count, read and write whole numbers up to 100, and put them in order, count on or back in ones or tens from different starting numbers, tell if numbers are odd or even, know that you can undo an addition with a subtraction, know when doing addition that its easier to start with the bigger number, understand that multiplying is the same as adding more of the same number, be able to double numbers or half them and know the 2 and 10 times table by heart.

Don't give your child a calculator to relay on as this will stop them using their fantastic brain, but do show them how to use an Abacus to solve mathematical problems.

But maths isn't always about calculating exact answers.

Being able to estimate a rough answer is an important skill that helps your child solve problems and check their work.

Virtually all those who have excelled in mathematics have stated that estimation was a prime skill.

Some simple Math games for kids to encourage estimating would be guesswork games.

Ask your child to guess how many peas he thinks are in the bag, or marbles in the pot. Then ask him to count them to check his own guesswork.

Let him know that there is nothing wrong with making an inaccurate guess, and that it is not always possible to know exact quantities, but do encourage him to learn to trust his own guesswork.

Practice with guesswork will make it more accurate as time goes by, but do be playful when you are engaged in guesswork.

Pet Games Online As an Educational Tool For Children

A new genre of arcade game has taken the internet by storm; they are pet games you can play free online. These games put together a group of domestic animals, such as cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and many others into an entertaining array of fun activities for children. These games have been developed using flash from Adobe, which allow for a fast loading and browser based multimedia application that can be executed in practically any computer with an Internet connection. Another important aspect of pet games online is the fact that they are free. Visitors are not required to register or spend a single cent to engage in a free pet game online.

Among the different types of pet games, there are different themes that define the plot. Among such themes you will find veterinarian clinics, pet care centers and even animal fashion salons and dress up parlors. Detailed background images and animated objects add life to the experience. The characters, which are fuzzy little creatures aimed at gathering the interest of the young players seem to be successful at catching their attention. And this is where these games pose the most help for parents and teachers. It is often the case that adults will be looking for ways to teach their young ones a thing or two, but in order to do that they must be able to catch their attention first. Using free pet games online as a tool for children will provide parents and teachers with a way to direct the child's attention towards the animals displayed in the game. Once they are focused, adults could use these games to explain about the different animals that appear in them.

Some games feature several animals, such as "Feed My Pet", a free pet game that features a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a guinea pig. Not only does the game make it necessary for the player to tell between each one, but he must also be able to know what kind of food, of the four choices offered to feed each one. Thus, this kind of game helped get the child acquainted with different species of animals, and what they eat as well. Not knowing the feeding habits of a cat, for example, will encourage the player to quickly find out by asking his parents or teacher. His main motivation is simple, he doesn't want to lose the game. Other games like "I Lost MY Puppy", give the child the opportunity to work on his short term memory. In this game he is given a quick glance of an image of a puppy dog, and he is then required to identify the same image among a group of similar characters.

Free pet games online are a fun way to learn, teaching the children about animals while having fun at it. This activity also provides the perfect occasion for parents and family members to come together and share a fun experience together, in a safe and fulfilling manner.

Learning Toys and Their Benefits

'Learning' toys and 'educational' games have become hugely popular with parents during the last decade. Having said that, I once knew a parent who would explode with exasperation at the very thought.

'Give the kids a break,' he would say. 'Christmas and birthdays should be about fun. They don't have to be LEARNING all the time!'

I agree with part of what he said. Yes, kids should have fun at times of celebration and when they receive gifts.

But let's not make the mistake of thinking LEARNING and FUN are mutually exclusive. They're not. The plain fact is, we learn best when we're having fun! Like it or lump it, that's nature's way.

Think about the function of play for both humans and animals. Young girls the world over love to play with dolls - and to have make-believe tea-parties (or their cultural equivalent) while dressing up like adults.

How often have you smiled, watching your daughter teetering around in her mother's shoes, trying on her coats or making a mess experimenting with cosmetics? How often have you seen young boys driving make-believe fire engines or pretending to be construction workers or police officers?

They're having fun in these 'pretend' activities. Yet they're preparing themselves for adulthood and the world of work.

Educational opinion is now agreed:

we learn best when we enjoy what we're doing
AND when we employ a range of our senses whilst doing it.

This has led to the rise in educational or learning toys and games.

But here's an open secret. At least it may be open to some adults, but is still closed to kids! Many toys and games are produced with a backing of sound educational research and practice. They also incorporate fun activities and use bright colors, moving parts, and sounds which stimulate the visual, kinesthetic and auditory aspects of learning. They also feature cartoon and movie characters, whom kids instantly respond to.

And the result? Children think they're 'just playing with their toys' - but they're learning at the same time. And since they're having fun and using a range of their senses, they're learning in the best possible way. Without even realizing it!

Consider these facts:

Many problems in high schools are caused by the simple fact that many students have not learned to read properly. They're ashamed to admit it and become hopelessly frustrated. Often they strike out!
Students in the 21st century have so much more to learn than their counterparts 50 years ago.
Every student today MUST have a grasp of Information & Computing skills if he or she is to succeed in education.

The good news is that given the right start in life, kids thrive on these activities. Parents can give their children a head start by not only providing them with 'learning' toys, but by fully understanding the impact these can have.

Help Your Child Learn Through Games

We often think of games as mere amusement, when in fact, games can also be a highly effective educational tool as well. John Dewey, the founder of modern educational theories, wrote in Democracy and Education " experience has shown that when children have a chance at physical activities which bring their natural impulses into play, going to school is a joy, management is less of a burden and learning is easier"

There is a great deal of research supporting the notion that games are of great educational benefit:

According to the head of Ofsted, children who play traditional board games at home do better at school.

Even the venerable Plato said "Not by force shall the youth learn, but through play."

As a parent, you can help your child develop their thinking abilities at home through playing games. Here are some ideas to help:

1. Teach your child noughts and crosses, or even better, four in a row (readily available at most toy stores)

2. Play the game together, and after a round or two ask your child if they want to learn a way to play even better.

3. Teach your child the traffic light method: a. Red - means stop and pay attention to your surroundings - really look at the game and study what may be happening, to you and your opponent b. Orange - get ready to go - look at every one of your options and decide which is the best move to take. For example, in the game Connect Four, you can encourage your child to examine what would happen if they dropped their piece in each of the columns. Encourage your child to choose the best move after studying each individual column or option. c. Green - check your plan then go - encourage your child to take one last look to make sure they are making the best move, then take their move. 4. Now play the game with your child and encourage them try out the traffic light method to see if it helps them play even better.

5. Pay attention and remark when your child slows down and plays more thoughtfully and carefully. Reward them for thinking first before acting.

6. Chat with them about what they think of the traffic light method, do they feel they are playing better using it?

7. Have a discussion about the benefits of thinking first before acting. For example, ask your child how they could use the traffic light method if another child pushed them in the playground. "What would red light be?" (They could answer, "red means to stop and study the situation") "How could you do that?" (They could answer - "look at the other child, are they smiling or frowning, gloating or crying, is there someone behind them who pushed them? Is there something on the ground that they could have tripped over?") "And what is the orange light" (they could answer " Orange is to look at all my options - I could push them back, I could ask them why they pushed me, I could tell them to not do that again, I could get the teacher, I could run away etc.")

8. Explore with your child other possible ways they can use and benefit from the Traffic Light method. Give your child time to come up with their own examples to enable them to make this tool relevant for them.

9. Encourage your child to understand that with more information they have more options and the choice they take will be a better one (just like in the game). By slowing down and thinking first, they have learnt that they will be smarter, in game playing and in life!

Happy playing!

Webkinz Toys

Since April 2005 the Webkinz toys have grown to become quite a fun toy for children to play with. Children all over the world have fallen in love with these well made colourful animals. Not only are they affordable for all but they open a whole new world for the young and old.

These great toys are collectable and have special edition pets to collect as well. They are regarded almost like the Beanie Babies but are more affordable and are geared more for the young generation. Each pet comes with a it's own code that will allow you to join an online virtual world for children.

Once you Log into Webkinz World and register your pet, you automatically adopt a virtual pet that you look after. This is great for children as by doing this the child will learn responsibility because they have to look after their pet by feeding and grooming them and keeping the room their pet is living in at a good standard. The online game gives the owner of the virtual pet a chance to earn virtual money by playing educational games to buy products for their virtual pet.

The virtual world is free for a year after registering but if you want to keep your account then all you need is to buy another Webkinz pet and when you register that pet at Webkinz World you can keep your account active. Lets face it, your child is not only going to have just one pet, they will want a whole room full, and at the price they are, it's not that hard to do.

There has been a lot of good feed back from parents as well as children about the many pets that you can buy. Apart from the fact that they are very cuddly toys, they open the world of the internet to our children in an educational way. Rather than spend hours playing shoot them up sorts of games that have no educational value, they are introduced to something more worth while.

Indoor and Outdoor Games For Kids

Playing games is often associated with kids. Kids play various types of games, and these games include indoor as well as outdoor games. Kids have a fascination for games. While some of them like to stay indoors, a majority of the kids like to go out and have fun. Both, indoor and outdoor games have their own importance, and negligence of any might lead to an imbalance of health. Indoor games include mostly educational games, or the games that need to be played making use of their brains. Chess, and various other board games, are good examples of indoor games. There are many companies that are manufacturers of educational games and put stress on the indoor games and insist that they are important for the kids.

Educational toys are useful in the fast development of the child as they involve intelligence while playing. But there is one drawback in these games; as there is a possibility of the child getting obese as there is not much physical movement involved. Outdoor games are very important for the kids as they provide fresh air and a little bit of physical exercise to the kids. Outdoor games include playing catch with the ball, baseball, basketball, various other games that include lots of physical activity. Also the outdoor games help to keep the child healthy, mentally as well as physically. There is importance of both the games and so the parents should see that there is a proper balance of both outdoor and indoor games.

If you need to teach your child how to play graciously and with healthy competition and good sportsmanship then you should make them play board games. There are different board games that involve the kids to use their memory power, color recognition, counting capabilites, analyzing your part as well as the opposition's too. All these things make the brain sharper and the child slowly and steadily understands how to judge the move of his opponent. There are many board games that are quite challenging and all the time there is a new way to lead the game. One set formula games would result boring but smart kids like games that are challenging every time they play it.

With the help of educational games you can train the kids and teach them basic concepts very easily like the different colors, shapes and sizes etc. There are educational games for older children and you can choose one according to the age group. You have lot of options when you want to choose games for your child. You can even take the child along when your going to purchase these games as children sometimes like to choose for themselves. While games can be educational in nature, the important thing to remember is not to get so involved in the educational aspect of things, that the fun part of games is completely ignored. After all the main reason for a child to play games is for fun and recreation purposes.

So take heed to what the child wants as well, as there are many games that they may want to play just for fun.

Safari Party Games To Get You In The "Swing" Of Things - It's A Jungle Out There

Enjoy a Safari themed party with fun games. Become a wild animal. Try these free games to have a roaring good time.

Children and adults love to play this game of Classic Charades with a safari party games twist! If you have young ones, prepare for this game ahead of time by making a list of safari animals. Cut the list into strips of paper, fold, and place in a bowl. Have the "actor" come to choose an animal one might see on a safari. You can also have them come up with their own animal, but be prepared to be flexible with the "safari" animals as any animal the child thinks up should be accepted depending upon their age. The actor will then be allowed to move and make sounds as if they were the animal. No other words, encouragement, etc. are allowed!

Another favorite safari party game is "Where is my baby animal?" In this game, half of the players are given the name of a safari animal. Each of the other players are given a card with the name of a baby animal of the same type on it.(Ex. elephant; elephant calf) Players are given one minute to find their match. If they are not paired at the end of one minute, they must be seated until the next round. Play continues with the number of players and the amount of time decreasing for each round. The two winners are the ones who are paired up first when there are only two pairs left.

Keep the Safari party theme throughout the party with decorations, favors, and animal music.

VTech VSmile Motion Active Learning System

DESCRIPTION: A games console aimed at 3-7 year olds, which plugs into the television and combines wireless motion-activated play, web connectivity, and educational games. The system is available in either pink or blue. Includes console, wireless controller, wrist strap, 'Action Mania' learning game cartridge, AV cable, and instructions. Comes with 4 x AA batteries (for console) and 3 x AAA batteries (for controller).

ASSEMBLY: The system is very easy to set up. The console and wireless controller run off batteries which need to be inserted before use. The console is connected to the television via an AV cable, which simply plugs into free colour-coded input jacks on the television. Following this, it is simply a case of inserting the learning game cartridge, and following the options and instructions on screen.

GOOD POINTS: The V.Smile Motion console is certainly following the lead in 'active' play, and is great fun for even the youngest of players.

The console is simply yet effectively designed, with a strong durable exterior to withstand even the roughest of handling, and a selection of big easy-to-use buttons. The games cartridge slots securely into the front of the console in an upright position, and there is room to keep any additional cartridges in a flip-up storage area on the back of the system.

The console also has a number of useful connection points: a V.Link port for uploading game results via a USB or 'V.Link' device (sold separately), a microphone port for connecting up to a microphone (sold separately), and a wired controller port (with rubber door) for plugging in the original wired V.Smile controller. One of the great benefits of this system is that it is completely compatible for use with original V.Smile games, which enables you to upgrade to the Motion system without having to spend a small fortune on a new set of games. There are however also a wide range of games aimed at different age groups available specifically for the V.Smile Motion, meaning that its appeal will continue for several years.

The motion controller is just as sturdy, incorporating a joystick which has direction lights to indicate in which direction the joystick is being moved, and a large oversized orange 'enter' button for easy play, along with four smaller coloured buttons used to choose answers or perform certain actions depending on the game. The controller is wireless which allows more freedom of movement during play, and on the back of the controller is an attachment point for the wrist strap to be attached. Also on the back is a switch which allows either one or two players to be assigned to the controller, plus an option to turn the controller off when not in use to save battery life. Another great feature is that the controller accommodates both left-handed and right-handed players.

The console comes with one learning game cartridge, 'Action Mania', which will provide your child with plenty of fun educational play. The cartridge contains three separate games, Rapid Race, Ball Park, and Raise a Racket, all with good graphics and clear instructions which are easy for young children to follow. The games can be played either using the joystick or motion control (i.e. tiliting the whole game pad in the direction you want to go), and the player can choose from a male or female character to control.

Rapid Race has two options of play - 'Streetrace' and 'Bobsled'. In the 'Streetrace' option, the player races along the road with the aim of collecting stars, avoiding objects and choosing the correct letters to complete given words. The latter option is similar, in which the player must sledge down a course and choose the correctly numbered flags to pass through.

Ball park consists of 'Balance It', in which the player rolls the ball in the correct direction to collect as many healthy (as opposed to unhealthy) foods as possible, and 'Bouncing Ball', where the player must tilt the controller from side to side to direct the balls to the correct coloured pile (this speeds up over time).

Raise a Racket has a choice of 'Competition', a straightforward game of tennis by flicking the remote back and forth to simulate a racket, and 'Good Aim', where the player must use the controller to hit a specified number of blue (but not red) balls into a net.

All the above games are timed to make them more competitive, and the console keeps records of personal high scores.

In our opinion, this is an excellent gift for a young child, packed full of fun educational learning appropriate to the age intended and in keeping with the recognised developmental key learning stages. The system promotes skills in basic maths, letter names and sounds, problem solving, memory, spelling, language and phonics, as well as encouraging discovery and exploration, and development of motor skills.

BAD POINTS: Battery consumption will be high with heavy use, although rechargable batteries can be used to save on long-term cost.

Two Great Puppy Pups Party Games

These fun puppy pups party games are sure to keep the kids interested at your next party, so be sure to note them down and get planning.

The first puppy pups party game is called 'Pass the Bone'. It's kind of a fun relay race for all the kids. Have everyone divide into two groups to compete against each other. For this you'll need two decent sized rawhide bones. Get the groups to line up in two straight rows. Then give each person at the end of each row one bone to place between their chin and their chest. At your go, these players will turn to the player next to them and pass the bone and the person receiving the bone most take it by grabbing it between their chin and chest as well. No one can touch the bones with their hands. The point is to try and pass the bone from one end of the line to the other before the other group does the same. At the end of this game give the bones to the real puppy pups in your home as special treats.

This next game called, 'Puppies and Kittens' is great fun to play at your next outside puppy pups party. Gather everyone in a loose circle and tell them all that they are to be one of two animals, either a puppy or a kitten. Then have them close their eyes and find the inner animal within. Once they've all decided whether they are to be a puppy or a kitten. They must try and find the other kittens and puppies in the group by sound alone. No one can open their eyes. So everyone will need to start barking or meowing and following those sounds to find the others in their groups. You'll be watching to see which animals form a complete group first. Give the winning group, probably the puppies since this is a puppy pups party a special treat.

You will need between two to seven dice, depending on the
age of the players. Roll the dice and put them in order to
make the highest number possible. If you roll a 4 and a 6,
for example, your best answer would be 64. Using three dice,
a roll of 3, 5 and 2 should give you 532, and so on. Write
down your answer, pass the dice, and challenge the next
player to "Beat That!" Play in rounds and assign a winner to
each round. For a change, try making the smallest number
possible! This is a great game for reinforcing the concept
of place value.

Run for it!

You will need six dice for this game. Roll the dice and look
for runs (sequences) starting with 1 (so 1, 1-2, 1-2-3 and
so on). Each die that is part of a run scores five points.
There can be more than one run in each roll. For example,
say you rolled the following combination: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5 and
5. You would score 5 points for the first 1. You would then
score 15 points for the sequence of 1, 2 and 3, for a total
of 20 points for that roll. The first player to reach 100
points is the winner.

Going to Boston

Use three dice. Roll all three and keep the highest. Roll
the remaining dice and again set aside the highest. Roll the
last die, and add up your total. Write down your score. Play
a number of rounds and then either total your points to find
the winner, or simply count how many rounds were won by each
player.

How to Make a Neopets Hit Counter

If you are looking for a Neopets Hit Counter then you may find that they are very hard to find, and in fact most of the time you will have to create one yourself. There are a few Neopet layouts that have some premade hit counters built into the design, but these again are sometimes hard to come by.

Creating a neopet hit counter is very easy to accomplish and takes very little html knowledge. Following the tutorial below will teach you how to create your very own personal and unique hit counter.
1. First you will need to choose which hit counter you would like to use. There are a wide selection of companies online that offer hit counting services, to find some just do a search on Google for "free hit counter" or "free stat counter." Browse around at some of the styles and choose one that you like and sign up for a free account with the selected service. In this example we will be using the service at StatCounter.com.
2. Copy the code that they have given you and then paste this into an empty text document such as NotePad or WordPad. Your hit counter code will look something like the one below:

script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">var sc_project=1767347;var sc_invisible=0;var sc_partition=16;var sc_security="4c929e17";var sc_remove_link=1;/script>
script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js">img src="http://c17.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=1767347&java=0&security=4c929e17&invisible=0" alt="cool hit counter" border="0">

3. Now it is time to find a Neopet image to go above the hit counter. There are many places you can find a Neopet picture. If you do have troubles finding one then just choose and image from Neopets.com
4. Once you have found an image then simply right click on the picture and select "Copy Image Location." You will then need to go back to your open notepad and paste this image code above your current stat counter code.
5. This would be your final code for your Neopet hit counter.

img src='http://images.neopets.com/template_images/cyodrake_sleep.gif'>

script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
var sc_project=1767347;
var sc_invisible=0;
var sc_partition=16;
var sc_security="4c929e17";
var sc_remove_link=1;

script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js">img src="http://c17.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=1767347&java=0&security=4c929e17&invisible=0" alt="cool hit counter" border="0">

And that is how you can create your very own Neopet Hit Counter to personalize your Neopet webpage. Enjoy!
